On August 25^th, 2026, the USPS^© filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for a temporary price change for key package services during the 2026 peak holiday season. If favorably reviewed by the PRC, these temporary changes would take effect October 4^th, 2026, and remain in place until January 17^th, 2027.

This proposed change would affect prices for the following domestic competitive package services:

• USPS Ground Advantage^™ (retail & commercial pricing)

• Priority Mail^® including Flat Rate (retail & commercial pricing)

• Priority Mail Express^® including Flat Rate (retail & commercial pricing)

No other products or services will experience a price change, products such as First-Class Mail, Extra Services, and International will remain unchanged.

Detailed below are some of the key changes that will take place on October 4^th, broken down by service.

As part of their Postal Service transformation plan, the USPS^© believes that these temporary changes will help support the organization in achieving their public service mission - providing a nationwide, integrated network for the delivery of mail and packages at least 6 days a week.
