There will be no change to the additional ounce price which will remain at 24 cents, but the USPS is seeking approval for price adjustments to certain Extra Services, including Certified Mail, and the cost to purchasing insurance.

One of the more noteworthy changes for meter customers is that the USPS will only be increasing metered postage by 1 cent, while increasing the cost of a Forever Stamp by 2 cents. This grows the meter savings to 4 cents when running First Class Letters through a postage machine!

As inflationary pressures on operating expenses continue, these price adjustments are needed to provide the Postal Service with much needed revenue to achieve its Delivering for America 10-year plan. The full proposed price file can be seen on the Postal Explorer website here.
