On October 7th, 2022 the USPS filed notice with the PRC for price changes that are scheduled to take affect on January 22nd, 2023.
If favorably reviewed by the PRC, the proposed increases will raise the cost of First-Class Mail prices by approximately 4.2% to offset rising inflation. Included in these changes would be an increase of 3 cents to the price of forever stamps.

As operating expenses continue to rise, these price adjustments provide the Postal Service with much needed revenue to achieve the financial stability sought by it delivering for America 10-year plan.
