Update: The PCR has approved the proposed price changes and the new rates will take effect on January 19th, 2025. The new rates for your postage meters are now available for download.

On November 15^th, 2024, the USPS filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission for price changes scheduled to take effect January 19^th, 2025. If approved, these price change will only effect Domestic and International Shipping Services, Market Dominant products such as First-Class Mail will not experience any price change.

Detailed below are the expected overall increase by service:

• 3.2% increase for Priority Mail & Priority Mail Express
• 3.9% increase for USPS Ground Advantage
• 9.2% increase for Parcel Select

While Mailing services such as First-Class are based on the consumer price index (CPI), Shipping Service prices are primarily adjusted according to market conditions. The USPS governors believe these new rates will keep the Postal Service competitive while providing the agency with needed revenue as part of their Delivering for America 10-year plan.
