USPS Temporary Price Change Approved for 2026 Holiday Shipping Season
On August 25th, 2026, the USPS© filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for a temporary price change for key package services during the 2026 peak holiday season. On September 9th, 2026, these changes were approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) to take effect on the scheduled date of October 4th, 2026, and remain in place until January 17th, 2027.
Market Dominant:
The approved adjustments will raise mailing services prices approximately 4.8%. These changes include the following:
- USPS Ground Advantage™ (retail & commercial pricing)
- Priority Mail® including Flat Rate (retail & commercial pricing)
- Priority Mail Express® including Flat Rate (retail & commercial pricing)
