The USPS announced a shipping rate change that will go into effect on January 17, 2016. These new shipping prices mark the first price increase for commercial Priority Mail since 2013. Good news! The proposed price changes will only affect the USPS Shipping Service products.

Rate Change Blog Post ImageUnder this rate change, the average Shipping Services price will increase by 9.5%. Retail rates for Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express® will increase an average of 8.6% and 14.4% respectively.

Commercial Base Pricing (CBP) will still save more than the Retail rate users, but CBP is rising with these shipping rate changes. CBP rates for Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express will increase by 9.4% and 17.7% respectively.
