“Franking not Possible”

If you see the message, “Franking not Possible”, connect your Mini to the internet and perform a postage download. Set the amount to $0.00 if you don’t wish to download a postage amount.

PostBase Mini must connect to our data center at least every three days to stay active. If your machine is turned on and connected to the internet, the Mini will do this automatically.

 

How to Update PostBase Mini Firmware

1. Press Menu.
2. Then press Remote Services. Wait while the meter detects and installs the new firmware.

000E000F Ink cartridge stuck Contact Customer Service to request a meter exchange.
001C0009 Download Soon Perform a Data Upload. If not corrected, perform a Zero Reset (download $0.00 postage).
000F0003 Wrong cartridge inserted If cartridge is an authentic FP Mailing product, Item PMIC10, contact Customer Service for replacement. If cartridge is NOT the correct product, log into MyOneFP to purchase a new cartridge.

PostBase Mini does not store rates on physical cards or chips. Perform a Remote Service.

Verify the Update

If your rate update was successful, your equipment will activate the new rates on the effective date. You can verify that the update was successful by checking your equipment’s rate table version number on or after the effective date.

RATE TABLE VERSIONS:
January 22, 2017 – 1.0/9.00
August 28, 2016 – 1.0/08.07
April 10, 2016 – 1.0/08.00
January 17, 2016 – 1.0/07.00
May 31, 2015 – 1.0/06.00

To verify that your new rates have been successfully applied, show System Information as shown on page 61 of the PostBase Mini Operators Manual.

“The connection test failed” error

postbase-connect-test-failed-errorThe network and computer system that serves PostBase may become overloaded during rate change, resulting in a “connection test failed” error and an error code similar to 0D020006.

The error means that the PostBase “tested” the network and was unable to complete the connection to FP servers.

If this happens, do NOT attempt to download postage again. Your meter will temporarily be prevented from downloading. Contact Customer Service at 800-341-6052.

Memories & Shortcuts

After the effective date of the new postage rates, you may need to manually update any programmed memories to the new rates. The memories will not automatically update.

PostBase Shortcuts are managed via RemoteOne software running on a PC.
