
PostBase pro/proDS support below
PostBase pro/proDS rates now available for January 27, 2019.
Your PostBase pro/proDS system will automatically download the new rates when the system connects to FP. The new rates will be stored in your PostBase™ mailing system and will automatically activate on January 27, 2019.
How to verify the new rates were successfully downloaded:
- Select the “Menu” on the PostBase touch screen
- Select “Change Date”
- Change Date to 01/27/2019 and Save
- Select “Back” to return to the Home Screen
- Verify the cost of a First-Class letter is $0.50
Rate Shortcuts:
Due to the USPS® structure change, new shortcuts will download to your machine. The First-Class Package shortcut will be replaced by Priority Flat Rate Envelope shortcut. If you need to create custom shortcuts for your machine, you will need to use the RemoteOne software.

MailOne 3.0 Software
If you use MailOne 3.0 software, MailOne will automatically update the rates. Please note that you must update your PostBase™ mailing system. MailOne will not run if the PostBase™ rates have not yet been updated.
External Scale
If you use an external scale to calculate postage, see External Scales Postal Rate Updates for instructions on updating your scale’s rates in addition to the PostBase machine.

Enabling Decimal Mode
This allows the PostBase to post the new 3-decimal $0.485 meter rate.
1. Press MENU on PostBase HOME SCREEN.
2. Scroll left or right to get to Decimal Meter Mode and press that button.
3. Select $0.000 and press SAVE.
Error Codes
Error Code | Text | Resolution |
00130000 | Teleporto Necessary | You must run Teleset at least every 90 days. Load zero dollars at that time if you don’t wish to download postage. |
0031000D | Ink empty | Replace both ink cartridges. |
00140001 | Connectivity error | Check that network cable is working and connected properly.Tap | menu. Verify that network information was entered correctly.Check if a network firewall is blocking transmissions (talk with your network administrator).
0D02000F | Connection failed | Check that network cable is working and connected properly.Tap | menu. Verify that network information was entered correctly.Check if a network firewall is blocking transmissions (talk with your network administrator).
000A000D | Letter feed error | Check the base unit for envelope or label jam:Power off.Remove drawer and inspect for jam.If no jam, use canned air to clean off the entire letter feed path and sensors. |
0D020001 | Failure in communication with data center | This usually means that your account has insufficient funds. Replenish your postage account by logging into the FP customer portal. |
000F0000 or 0002 | Cp error not available | Remove ink cartridges.Clean all contacts in each cartridge.Re-insert cartridges.If error persist, perform a zero-dollar download and call FP to check your “piece count”. |
Main battery almost empty | Check the main battery on the bottom of the base unit:Turn off unit.Unplug from power.Remove main battery.Check that the battery is inserted correctly (“+” to “+”).Replace the battery with a 3.6V lithium battery if necessary.
Do not use standard AA (1.9V) batteries in your PostBase. Although they look the same as the PostBase battery, they may damage your machine.
